Development and launch of flexible additional education programs with a focus on line managers is one of the priority areas of the updated development strategy of the Business School. The course for AFK Sistema has become one of the pilot projects implemented by GSOM SPbU together with companies that are members of the GSOM Advisory Board.
Management Essentials School of Practical Management is a program for leaders at any stage of their careers, allowing managers to develop management skills. GSOM SPbU professors and business experts during program:
- help to sort out typical mistakes of managers;
- show the general algorithm and approaches to managing different types of employees, taking into account the characteristics of their personality and behavior;
- give an idea of modern technologies for setting goals and monitoring their implementation;
- teach how to motivate and involve employees.
Successful top managers of such large Russian and international companies as MTS, Tele2, VTB Bank, The Boston Consulting Group will share their experience with the course participants.
The Management Essentials: School of Practical Management program has become part of the Lift to the Future project, a flagship educational initiative of the Sistema charitable foundation, the operator of social investments of the Sistema JSFC Group. As a result of the competitive selection in Sistema Group, out of 900 submitted applications, 50 employees were selected for participation in the program. From September 1 to November 20, they will have webinars, project work in teams and the opportunity to work out a case from their own practice under the mentorship of GSOM SPbU teachers and business experts. The program consists of seven training modules, upon completion of which the participants will have to pass an exam and defend the project. Based on the results of the training, the course participants will receive an advanced training diploma from GSOM SPbU.
