UPDATING GSOM SPBU STRATEGY: INTERVIEW WITH THE DIRECTOR

In 2020, the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg University (GSOM) began updating the development strategy until 2025. And in the period of the complicated epidemiological situation, work on the strategy continues. So, the regular meeting of the Strategy Commission in the online format has recently taken place.

GSOM faced the challenges of the new world, which not everyone dares to answer: life-long learning, transition to digital, blurring of classical skills, exponential increase in speeds and new business requirements. The objective of the project is to find a balance between promising trends, to hear market players and to understand what a business education should be in order to prepare specialists in demand.

Olga Dergunova, Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank (PJSC), Director of GSOM SPbU, spoke in an interview about why it is so important to update the School’s development strategy now.
